Intermediate sewing workshop registration is now open.  If you have taken our beginner workshop, then this would be the next step for your sewing adventure. The class is also great for the individual that is already familiar with their machine and has sewn a little bit but wants to learn more.

Sewing workshop

The next beginners sewing workshop will be Saturday, January 29th at Pleasant Ridge Montessori from 10-2pm. Registration will start tomorrow.

Sewing Success

Lots of learning and fun was had at the sewing workshop on Saturday.  Rachael from Imagine Gnats helped teach and did some technical work as well. One of the students sewing machine was on the fritz and Rachael came to the rescue and fixed the machine.

The students made tote bags using decorative fabric swatches from Joseph William's Home.

I stopped by the furniture store last Friday to tell them I would be using the fabric swatches for the workshop. Fred was very excited and said that he can order material by the yard for anyone that is interested. They have some beautiful patterns.

Next workshop will be in January or February. I have some ideas of fun stuff to teach. Maybe knitting with plastic bags...we will see.

Ever wanted to learn to sew?

If your answer is yes, you may be interested to hear that Purdy Everyday will be conducting a beginners sewing workshop.  The workshop will teach you the basic steps of using your machine to actually making something! Don't worry if you do not have a sewing machine. I are working on getting a couple of machine for teaching purposes. If you have any requests or idea send us a comment. I are shooting for the class to be sometime before the holidays. More info to come!
